Defeat MSA Alliance

For more than a decade, I volunteered as a graphic designer for the Defeat MSA Alliance, supporting their mission to raise awareness of Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), a rare and devastating neurodegenerative disorder.

Purple, the official color of MSA awareness, served as a unifying visual element across all design work, reinforcing brand recognition and emotional impact.

Over the years, I designed multiple logos, including those for the Defeat MSA Alliance, the MSA Awareness Shoe, and Defeat MSA Canada, helping establish cohesive and recognizable identities across initiatives.

A notable highlight of this work was the design of large-scale billboard campaigns in the Detroit and Las Vegas markets. These billboards featured Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe, honored renowned chef Kerry Simon—who lost his battle with MSA—and showcased blues legend Thornetta Davis, amplifying awareness through high-profile storytelling.

Additional deliverables included brochures, stationery, and a wide range of promotional materials such as patches, apparel, and custom shoe designs, all created to support fundraising, outreach, and public education efforts.
